Description: This is an original 68 SS 396 375 HP car with A 427 L88. Original engine is gone. I will be as detailed as possible about the parts in the car as I can. Engine – 4 bolt block – ’78 vintage 030 and line bored and decked – steel GM crank, 7/16 dimple rods with arp rod bolts, TRW forged pistons 10:75 to 1 /Comp (pump fuel OK). Balanced and blueprinted. . 560/600 Hydraulic roller cam. Peter Jackson timing gear set, fluid damper. The cyl heads are original gm winters castings “074” . All aluminum is perfect with no repairs done. Hardened Manley push rods, Manley valves comp springs, titanium retainers and gold crane rockers. Intake is gm winters cast # . HEI Dist with bronze gear and toped with a tuned Holley 850 DP. This engine makes over 500 horsepower, and this. Is not a fantasy number. Trans – Lakewood scatter shield, centerforce clutch – GM steel flywheel M.21 close ratio trans – 1 ring on input shaft – trans was done at SK speed on Long Island, New York .Hurst Competition Shifter Rear axel – 12 bolt GM – 4 series posi carrier with 3:73.1 Richmond gears Exhaust starts with hooker coated competition headers to a Flowmaster American thunder system, x pipe and 40 series mufflers out the back in the stock location. Brakes – 69 front disc brakes on car, single piston. I will include original 4 piston calipers (rebuilt) with mounting plates and hoses. I don’t have the original hubs and rotors. The original proportion valve on L/s frame is still there. Suspension includes new front springs and poly upper and lower bushings. Koni shocks and new upper and lower ball joints – after market 1 1/8 sway bar. Original sway bar included. Rear suspension – new poly bushings in new Detroit Eaton 4 leaf springs – traction bars and bolt in sub frame connectors. Rims are 15x7 rallys with 67 disc brake caps. 215/ 65 /15 tires in front and 265/50/15 in rear Exterior – original Grotto Blue (DD) code with D90 and D91 accents/stripe and black back panel. Paint was done in 2005. The (90%) quarters were replaced at that time. All outside chrome has been replaced except for the hood vents. They are original; the side glass has astro ventilation on it (org) Floor boards are no rot originals, no rot in trunk or by shock towers. Interiors – seats are original with minor tears – head liner has 1 small 1 inch tear – door panels are replacement as is the carpet. All gauges work except clock in tach, speedo and the amp gauge. Original GM gauges from 1968 – tach has a 6000 RPM, redline, only the 396 375 had this tach – The low fuel light in the dash even works. Speedo needs cable. EMAIL FOR OWNERS NUMBER
